After experiencing years of increasing energy costs, the Mill Creek Community School Corporation in Amo, Indiana, entered into a Guaranteed Energy Savings Program (GESP) with Johnson-Melloh Solutions. In March of 2016, Johnson-Melloh representatives joined hundreds of students, faculty, staff and administration for the official ribbon cutting ceremony and today the 330 kW solar energy facility, combined with LED lighting is already producing an abundance of energy and cost savings. Mill Creek West Elementary became the first school in the Midwest to build, own and operate an energy producing facility.
This 330 kW project, located in Amo, Indiana was installed by a team of 20 Johnson-Melloh Solutions team members and took only 2.5 months to install.
